From the Honolulu Museum of Art’s indigo fabric dyeing course to the Perez Art Museum Miami’s paper-making project, no two Vitality Arts programs are the same. 2D/3D Character Design

Taught by artist Chudney Patterson, this course introduced participants to 2D and 3D illustration techniques, providing them with foundational skills, a range of material options, and opportunities for independent creative work.

Expressive Bookmaking

In this five-week course held at Tampa's Charles J. Fendig Public Library, participants explored different techniques, including spine stitching and accordion binding, as they created their own artistically inspired books.
Pérez Art Museum Miami

Sculpture

Over the course of six weeks, participants explored different three-dimensional techniques, including mold making and body casting, under the guidance of Miami-based artist Liene Bosquê.
Minneapolis Institute of Art

Portraiture for Everyone

Working from a live model, participants created gesture drawings, contour drawings, and collage using a range of different styles, including Cubism, Realism, and cartoon art.
